Research Adventures

Discover the science in you. Yours Outdoors, in partnership with the Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve, is offering opportunities for you to experience research in action. Haliburton Forest has been a hub of ecosystem based research for many years with the main research partner being University of Toronto's Faculty of Forestry. This research activity is as broad as the forest is wide, including such diverse projects as old-growth assessments, small mammal ecology, carbon exchange, exotic invaders. We are giving you an opportunity to be a citizen scientist and spend a day with researchers in the forest helping them conduct their research. There are several research projects scheduled throughout July and August that you can register for.

Rates:  $40/person plus HST. Includes full day of research activity and a bag lunch. You also have the option of combining this special day with accommodation, additional meals and other adventures offered by Yours Outdoors and Haliburton Forest.
