Remy Rodden settled in the wilds of the Yukon Territory three decades ago as a refugee from the middle east … of Canada, that is. He found work with the territorial government, and made a life living in and around Whitehorse. Currently on musical sabbatical in his childhood home province of Ontario, Remy will join us to share some of his experiences in the north and beyond as wilderness homesteader, dog musher, outdoor educator and family entertainer. His travels have included every corner of the Yukon, the polar regions and stints on every continent – fodder for many songs and stories. Remy Rodden is a singer-songwriter and environmental educator from Whitehorse, Yukon. He is known for his catchy and eco-inspired tunes for young people, and thoughtful and sometimes hilarious songs for more adult audiences. His songs have been recognized as part of both the United Nations “Pour La Terre” collection, and the CBC Radio 3/David Suzuki Playlist for the Planet. www.remyrodden.com. He will charm us all as he weaves stories and songs together for a night of magical entertainment.
