ice fishing in the Haliburton Highlands

Dreaming of landing the big one this winter? Love getting out on the hard-water but don’t know where to go?

Whether you’re a seasoned angler chasing that next big trophy or a beginner hoping to wet a line through the ice for the first time, the Haliburton Highlands is a beautiful and productive ice-fishing destination. From hard fighting Lakers, Rainbows, Brook Trout & Splake to Walleye and bruiser rod-bending Northern Pike, this area has open winter seasons for them all.

Avid outdoorsman and lifelong angler Stephan Lukacic will guide you on frozen lakes around the Haliburton Highlands, where his family long operated one of the best-known hunting & fishing camps in the area. Bringing 30+ years of fishing experience and invaluable local knowledge with you out on the ice, it’s a great way to explore Haliburton’s many lakes and rivers throughout the winter!
